With WIC week highlighting women as a vital asset to the construction industry, we celebrate their value and actively encourage them to pursue, establish and sustain successful careers within the Offsite Modular Design and Construction industry.

One of our resident stars, Gemma Lowe embodies what it takes to be successful…

“After joining MDSL in February 2015 as a CAD Engineer, I voluntarily got involved in various roles with increased responsibilities, which led to a promotion to Project Manager earlier this year. The company has a fantastic attitude to equal opportunities and continues to promote females in this otherwise male dominated sector. I plan to be with MDSL for many more years, and with their on-going support, will hopefully progress my career to a more senior role. It’s great to know that they believe there’s no difference between men and women in terms of the skills and added value they can bring to a project.”

John Felton, MD of MDSL commented: “Gemma is an inspiration to all women thinking of a career in Offsite Construction, and I'm sure will develop her career to the top! We believe a diverse workforce is an innovative and successful workforce, and organisations that do not recognise this may be missing out on key skills, new ideas and ways to keep the industry moving forward. MDSL are committed to diversity and equality to ensure we deliver the most innovative and best quality Modular Designed Solutions the industry has to offer."
